Yes there is. Turf should be rinsed and groomed periodically. The frequency of cleaning should be determined by the activity level. If your turf is subject to animals and pets it should be rinsed more often. The higher traffic areas should also be groomed more often. To properly clean, rinse and use a stiff-bristled broom or rake to groom the fibers. This will help prevent matting and maintain the appearance. If the turf is not groomed periodically and does mat substantially, we suggest you have it groomed professionally to restore its appearance. For areas of heavy path traffic we suggest placing stepping stones or forming some kind of path.

Yes! Turf is extremely popular for animal hospitals, kennels, ranch owners, and homeowners with pets. Animal urine does not damage or stain synthetic turf. What is most attractive is that even with pets, a green lawn can be sustained.

Face weight is how much the yarn weighs per square yard not including the backing or infill. This measurement tells you how much product you are getting for your money — as long as the comparison is completely parallel. Nylon thatch–based products are the most expensive to produce; most artificial turf is produced using 28% nylon thatch, but products can be made with up to 45% thatch, which increases quality, durability, and thickness. Yarn technology — microns per blade, yarn shape, and stitch rate — is equally important and is taken into account in every Tiger Turf product.

Many synthetic turf applications are installed with generic styles of turf due to the assumption that all turf is the same. Very low activity areas should prioritize quality, density, and aesthetics, while areas with mid-level activity or more should have a high-density thatch product. A high-density thatch product recovers significantly better during activity and grooming.

Not all installs are equal! Installation quality is critical for aesthetics and longevity — how the sub-surface is sculpted and prepared, how edges are addressed, how the product is secured and ultimately finished. NoMow Turf sets the gold standard for installation quality.

Simply rinse with water as needed. With pets, pick up solid waste and spray residue clean. Rinse as frequently as needed to avoid odors, which are caused by a buildup of bacterial spores. Durafill does not absorb external elements, which limits bacteria and odor. For a thorough cleaning — which should rarely be needed — flush with a 50% white distilled vinegar / 50% water mixture to neutralize bacterial spores.

Turf can get hot in temperatures usually above 80–90°F in direct sunlight. Blade temperature can be decreased with Durafill. Durafill does not heat up like rubber, so it doesn't transfer intense heat into the blades of grass.

Non-infill products are convenient when selling directly to the public, or to make an install easier and less expensive. However, there are crucial functional reasons for infill: it protects the tufts during activity, provides ballast (hundreds or thousands of pounds weighing down the product), provides G-MAX softness underfoot for safety, and offers a base for increased blade recovery. We believe a more appropriate name would be 'minimal infill' products.

The backing is perforated and will drain just as natural grass typically would. If drains would be needed with natural grass, synthetic grass should be treated the same.

Yes, the sheen progressively diminishes and goes away. Some products in the marketplace are shinier than others for various reasons — wider blades refract more light, rectangular yarns refract more light, and some yarns go through a delustering process. How quickly the sheen fades depends on the yarn shape and chemical makeup.
